2 Multi-Vehicle Crashes On US 11 Shutter All Lanes By I-81, US 22/322: PennDOT

Two multi-vehicle crashes have closed all lanes of traffic on two stretches of US 11 in central Pennsylvania on Tuesday, August 9, authorities say.

The first crash happened on US 11 Northbound between Exit: I-81 NORTH - HARRISBURG and Exit: US 22/322 WEST around 12:42 p.m., according to PennDOT's 511pa. 

The first crash cleared Incident cleared at 1:39 p.m., according to 511pa. There are residual delays.

The second crash happened on US 11 southbound between Exit: US 22/322 WEST and Exit: I-81 NORTH - HARRISBURG at 12:43 p.m., according to the department. 

The second crash has been confirmed by PennDOT spokesperson Dave Thompson.

He clarified to Daily Voice that the crash happened in Penn Township, Perry County near the intersection of Cove Road just south of Duncannon. 

The rough estimate before the road reopens is 3 p.m. he says.
